Toothpick Art: A Painstaken Hobby Of Beauty
They take hours upon hours to build. A hobby that requires massive amounts of patience and dedication. Toothpick art takes the word hobby to a completely different place.
One of the oldest tools invented by the homo sapiens group, their use pre-dates modern humans. Tens of thousands of years of refining the toothpick has resulted in these remarkable works that have taken decades to complete.
Stan Munro is one of the best toothpick artists in the world and his hobby has given him plenty of recognition.
Here is his latest creation:
Scott Weaver is another creative toothpick artist and his work has taken over 35 years of dedication. His recreation of San Francisco is all-consuming and the result is amazing. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing, it has several fully functional ball runs, that Weaver calls ‘tours’, of the different locations in the city.
